Built in 1926, The Stadium Theatre is one of the few remaining examples of the majestic Vaudeville Theatre era still in operation today. Since being restored in 2001, the Stadium Theatre has developed into a community center where famed international artists such as Liza Minnelli, Cher and George Winston grace the same stage as community arts organizations such as community theatre, dance and music groups. As a hub of the community, it is the Stadium Theatre’s mission to offer the widest variety of high caliber, live entertainment to patrons at family affordable prices.
In addition the Stadium Theatre has become a launch pad for regional artists by offering them the opportunity to present their talent in a high-tech, opulent setting with little financial risk.
In recent years the Stadium has developed a variety of educational programs designed to offer children and young adults the opportunity to develop an appreciation for the arts. Our ‘Kid’s Kamp’ and ‘Teen Summer Stock’ programs teach the basics of theatre and production in a fun, safe environment, an our ‘Imagination Series’ offers students entertaining educational programming throughout the school year. It is our goal to foster the creative genius of the world’s future artists.
While the Stadium continues to entertain the community and inspire the lives of artists and children, we recognize that none of it would be possible without the overwhelming support of over two-hundred volunteers and the generous donations of individuals, businesses and private organizations. Their generosity has enabled the Stadium Theatre to build vibrant communities, enhance many lives, and become one of the finest performing arts centers in the region.
