About Us:
The Palace Theatre has a rich and vibrant history. Built in 1928 as a 1999-seat venue, Jimmy Durante performed here, as did Chuck Berry, Louis Armstrong and many others.
Our mission at The Palace is to serve, enliven and enrich the community through the performing and visual arts in all disciplines. We look forward to creating a new history here at The Palace and we invite you to to be a part of it!
By providing a place wherein the Arts in all disciplines can thrive, our goal is to engage the community in experiences that enrich their lives, and the life of the City. The Arts celebrate all aspects of our lives. Qualitative rather than quantitative, they serve to enlighten and broaden our horizons. They inform our perspective, cultivate personal expression and expand our capacity for empathy and compassion. In short, they teach us about life.
We look forward to bringing the Arts to the Danbury community, to Fairfield County and beyond! We take great pride in our role in the revitalization efforts of CityCenter Danbury, and we invite you to enjoy and engage in the vibrant new life of The Palace Theatre!
