The mission of Lakewood's Heritage, Culture & the Arts Division is to build a sense of community and to serve the diverse citizens of Lakewood, Jefferson County, and neighboring communities through education, outreach and programs that support our heritage, culture and the arts.
About Us:
Nestled in Lakewood City Commons across from the Belmar shopping area at Wadsworth and Alameda, the 38,000 square foot Lakewood Cultural Center offers a technically advanced 320-seat theater, rotating visual art exhibits in multiple gallery spaces, meeting and event spaces, cultural arts classes, a beautiful lobby space, free WiFi and free parking.
The Center presents an exciting mix of programming including: internationally acclaimed dance companies, contemporary theatre productions, intimate jazz performances, leading classical music and performance artists, family entertainment and much more.
The Cultural Center is also home to the Lakewood Symphony and Performance Now Theatre Company.
