About the 500 Festival
As a nonprofit, community organization, our mission at the 500 Festival is to produce life-enriching events and programs that celebrate the spirit and legacy of the Indianapolis 500 and foster a positive impact on the city of Indianapolis and the state of Indiana. The OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon is the 500 Festival’s largest event with 30,000+ runners, joggers, walkers, and wheelchair participants from all 50 states and 15+ countries around the world each year. Participation in the Greatest Spectacle in Running supports the 500 Festival’s free youth health, fitness, and education events and programs, which reach more than 100,000 Indiana youth annually.
Mission
The mission of the 500 Festival is to advocate and celebrate the spirit, heritage and legacy of the Indianapolis 500®. Through social, cultural and educational events and programs, the 500 Festival enhances the quality of life for all citizens of our communities.
