From: Albin Polasek Museum And Sculpture GardensFamily Day
Over 250 community members gathered at the museum to immerse themselves in Japanese Culture and explore our captivating Embroidery Exhibition. From engaging Japanese Martial Arts demonstrations to hands-on activities like painting and origami, coupled with a delightful story time session and an exclusive tour by artist Karyn Plater, the day was filled with joy and learning.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to our incredible partners: Friends of Koto, Florida Budokan, Winter Park ASA, Bao Houz, Kumiko Plummer, Orlando Japanese Church, and Orlando Hoshuko, whose support made this event truly memorable!

Around the Grounds with our Interns!
Under the guidance of our Curator, Tamie, our dedicated interns play a role in the conservation and maintenance of the museum's collection. Last week, they meticulously cleaned the iconic "Butterfly" sculpture using non-abrasive tools and techniques, ensuring its surface remains unharmed while preserving its timeless beauty and integrity. We extend our thanks for their efforts in safeguarding these works of art!
