This month, our dedicated Curator and interns put their hearts into preserving the grace of the Emily Fountain. As a cherished piece of our museum, this bronze masterpiece receives careful attention every 2 months to maintain its splendor.

Careful Cleaning: We delicately remove calcium buildup, safeguarding the delicate patina.

Protective Wax Layer: After cleaning, a thin layer of wax shields the sculpture, protecting it from the elements.

Gentle Techniques: We use non-abrasive methods, preserving its integrity for years.

We're immensely grateful to our meticulous team for upholding the timeless allure of the Emily Fountain. Experience its artistry on your next visit, a testament to artistic endurance.

George Nock: Breaking Barriers
Our current exhibit is open until August 20th!

The Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens is honored to partner with The George and Mary Nock Foundation to present a retrospective exposition of George Nock’s artwork and celebrate his contributions as artist, athlete, and barrier breaker. An accomplished artist and former NFL running back, Nock devoted his life to the creation of realistic figures in bronze. Evident in his artwork is appreciation of the human form, and firsthand knowledge of the amazing feats it could achieve. Whether sculpting historic figures, forgotten people, famed athletes, dancers, or musicians, he captured the fundamental nature of his subjects with a pose or expression.
