SpringFest, the Moss Mansion’s annual outdoor juried arts and crafts festival, will be held on Saturday, June 5, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., on the lawn of the Moss Mansion, 914 Division Street, in Billings. A pancake breakfast will kick-start the event, from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. There is no admission charge and the public is encouraged to attend. Celebrating its 22nd year, SpringFest, formerly called the Country Fair, will feature over 40 artists and craftspeople from across Montana and Wyoming. Included in the festival will be pottery, jewelry, paintings, photography, glass, fiber arts, mosaics, woodworking, metal sculpture and much more. Also featured at SpringFest will be food and family fun, including: • Children's activity area with games, hands-on craft activities, face painting, with snow-cones and cotton candy; • Arts and crafts demonstrations; • Barbeque booth with hamburgers, hot dogs, polish dogs and BBQ beef sandwiches; taco booth with tacos and taco salads; Mountain Mudd; Brockel's Chocolates; and Kettle Korn; • Bake sale booth with wonderful homemade baked goods • Antiques and collectibles booths; • Gainan’s Flowers and Garden Center; • A raffle of unique items created by SpringFest artists; and, • Live entertainment throughout the day. SpringFest is a fundraiser for the Moss Mansion Historic House Museum, the flagship historical resource in our community, attracting thousands of visitors spanning the globe. In addition to being a major cultural attraction, it plays a critical role in the preservation education for people of all ages through daily historic tours, educational school tours and special community events. Lead organizer of SpringFest is Stacey Jacobs, a longtime civic leader who lends her creative talents to ensure that a diverse array of arts, crafts and activities are offered at the event. "SpringFest is such a wonderful way to spend a day--shopping, eating, being entertained and strolling the beautiful Moss Mansion grounds,” said Jacobs. “It's truly a ‘feel good’ event.” The Moss Mansion will be open for tours throughout SpringFest at regular tour prices.
