Who We Are

We are a committee of individuals comprised of wine and jazz lovers in Southwest Illinois and the Saint Louis metropolitan area. Many of our committee members have been part of the development of the nationally recognized “Art on the Square” festival that needs little introduction. These like-minded people are dedicated in showcasing the finest local jazz talent available, offering a sampling of excellent wines, and coupling all of this with great food. Not only can we “Satisfy Your Senses”, we have the best venue to showcase this event, the Belleville Public Square with it’s beautiful fountain.

History

The summer of 2008 marked the inauguration of our Wine, Dine and Jazz Festival. This event has been received with enthusiasm from within the Belleville community, private businesses and surrounding communities as well.  The Wine, Dine and Jazz Festival ’08 was our first opportunity to have a wide variety of musicians together in one place at one time to showcase a true “peoples’ festival” and enjoy a sampling of our local restaurants and Southwest Illinois wineries. This event is this authors “dream come true”.

Our 2014 festival lineup is now complete and we are looking forward to our sixth year. Our 2008 festival was a defining moment in our quest to become a premier jazz venue in the midwest.  We now attract thousand’s of jazz and wine enthusiasts and expect a greater turnout this year as we continue to grow our reputation in the Saint Louis metropolitan area.

This Wine Dine Jazz festival is truly a regional summer experience.  In 2014, with the addition of the popular gourmet food trucks, fabulous wines, and spectacular jazz music, this is a must attend event.

Future Goals

The festival has long range implications for the community. Our goal is to develop it into an attraction with a national presence just like our “sister event”, Art on the Square.
