Government and Politics

Earlier this week, the New Mexico Republican Party headquarters in Albuquerque was severely damaged in a deliberate act of arson. Surveillance footage and police reports confirm this was a targeted, politically motivated crime—intended to intimidate and silence. Thankfully, no one was injured, but the damage to the building and its operations is significant.
This is not just a local issue-it’s an attack on the very principles of free speech, civic engagement, and democratic participation that define our republic.
The Utah Republican Party unequivocally condemns this act of violence. Disagreeing with someone’s political beliefs is never an excuse for destruction. And while many on the Left remain silent in the wake of this attack, we refuse to be.
The NM GOP has served its state faithfully, providing resources to voters, supporting candidates, and defending conservative values. Now, in their time of need, we have an opportunity to return that support.
We invite our members, supporters, and fellow conservatives across Utah to help the New Mexico GOP rebuild and continue their important work. Every donation-large or small-helps them restore their headquarters and stand strong in the face of political intimidation.
