A Family Tradition: Acoma Pottery, CU, and the Lewis Family
This exhibit features the work and legacy of Lucy M. Lewis, the matriarch of Acoma pottery, and her family, including lifelong Buff, Carmel Lewis Haskaya. Experience the work of master Acoma potters and artists, with over 50 pieces crafted over generations. It was the wish of Carmel Lewis Haskaya that a “a part of her will always be in Boulder,” a place she loved dearly. This exhibit was crafted to honor that wish by sharing the family’s talent and legacy with the Boulder community, along with a donation of one of her pieces to the CU Museum of Natural History.
Trees: A visual narrative of our enduring relationships with trees through the seasons
This juried exhibition celebrates the glory of trees through the eyes of artists from the Rocky Mountain Society of Botanical Artists. Trees are enigmatic organisms that can provoke powerful feelings within us. The intent of this exhibit is to expand the artist's and viewers’ appreciation and knowledge of trees, and we are pleased to share it with you.
