Stand with Trump and the RNC to Secure Michigan's Elections

Government and Politics

April 9, 2025

President Trump just took a bold step to restore integrity to our elections. His new executive order, “Preserving and Protecting the Integrity of American Elections,” requires proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote and directs federal agencies to help states verify voter citizenship. States that fail to comply risk losing federal election funding.

Chairman Jim Runestad fully supports this move. It’s a clear message: the days of loose voter registration and shady roll maintenance are over. This is about restoring confidence in our elections—and holding those in charge accountable.

At the same time, the Republican National Committee is going on offense, launching its largest-ever election integrity effort. The RNC is demanding that states hand over records detailing exactly how they maintain and clean up their voter rolls.

This is how we win. Transparency, accountability, and tough questions that the Democrats don’t want to answer.

RNC Chairman Michael Whatley put it clearly: “Voters have a right to know that their states are properly maintaining voter rolls… The RNC stands ready to act if states fail to do so.”

Meanwhile, Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson has already made it clear she plans to fight President Trump’s order in court. She posted on social media that she’ll challenge it every step of the way—proving once again that Michigan Democrats are more interested in protecting broken systems than fixing them.

But this time, we’re not backing down.

Chairman Runestad urges every Michigan Republican to stand with President Trump and the RNC. This is a critical moment for our state and our country. We have a real opportunity to take back control of our elections and make sure only legal votes count.

If you’re ready to fight for fair, secure elections—or want to learn how to get involved—reach out today. This is just the beginning.
