Columbus, Ohio - After a brutal interview on March 31st, Senator Husted wishes it was all just an April Fools Day joke. Unfortunately for him, it was real life, and he not so jokingly revealed his complete disinterest in working for Ohioans.

In the clip, Senator Husted begins by pretending he’s really for working Ohioans, all while rubber stamping directives that raise prices while cutting taxes for billionaires. But when he realizes he’s been caught in a lie, he defaults to the only thing he knows, saying that he’ll do whatever Donald Trump wants.

“Senator Husted wishes yesterday was an April Fools Joke, but the only tricks this year are the ones his party is playing on Ohioans ,” said Ohio Democratic Party spokeswoman Katie Seewer. “Voters already knew that he only works for billionaires like Donald Trump- but now he’s said the quiet part out loud. When Senator Husted claims to represent Ohioans, it’s clearly a joke.”
