On Feb 25th, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene voted to gut Medicaid, threatening health care for Georgia kids and families.
Rep. Greene voted for the House Republican budget, which is projected to slash Medicaid by $1.87 billion for the 149,705 Georgians in the 14th Congressional District who rely upon Medicaid for life-saving health care and medicine.
In response to Rep. Greene voting to gut health care for his constituents, DPG spokesperson Ellie Schwartz released the following statement:
“In Georgia, sixty-seven percent of Medicaid recipients are children, half of all childbirths are covered by Medicaid, and three-quarters of seniors in nursing homes rely on Medicaid. Rep. Greene’s vote to gut Medicaid is a shameful vote against the health of his own constituents.”
