March 6, 2025

Following the success of cultural trips to Italy and England in 2024 and in response to demand, Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO), is organizing two international trips in 2025. The first is aimed at theater lovers. Travel by bus to Niagara on the Lake, Ontario, Canada. Depart Buehler’s River Styx in Medina on August 5 for a fun, three-day action-packed excursion that includes three shows, Major Barbara, Blues for an Alabama Sky and Anything Goes. Visit a winery for a tasting and tour and stay at the White Oaks Resort Hotel. Before heading back to Ohio, visit a Butterfly Conservatory in the gardens of the Niagara Parks. Detailed itinerary, pricing and booking details are at https://ormaco.org/3-day-shaw-festival-trip/. The trip is limited to 50 guests.

The second trip takes you to the medieval splendors of Italy’s Umbrian hill towns. Depart the USA on September 26 for your overnight flight to Rome. Upon arrival, head north to Orvieto where you will spend three days. Day trips will take you to Civita di Pagnoregio, the ghost town high on a hill with spectacular views, and other small villages. Move on to Assisi for six nights and enjoy a stay at a family run hotel with a lovely view of the valley below. Soak in more off-the-beaten track sites with excursions to Perugia, Buggio, and Bevagna. End the trip at the annual festival and Feast of St. Francis where you will take in the local community celebration with a medieval parade, oil lighting ceremony, flower tapestries and market booths inside the walled city of Assisi. Return on October 6. Detailed itinerary, pricing and booking details are at https://ormaco.org/z-italy-umbrian-hill-towns/. The trip is limited to 24 guests.
