Government and Politics

The Lincoln Day celebrations are well underway, and this annual tradition continues to demonstrate the unity, strength, and values of our great state and our Republican Party. From Kootenai County to Idaho County, from Franklin County to the Treasure Valley, Lincoln Day stands as a powerful reminder of our shared commitment to Faith, Family, and Freedom.
Attorney General Raúl Labrador has taken the opportunity to visit counties across Idaho, speaking on the accomplishments he has achieved in safeguarding our state’s sovereignty and standing firm against federal overreach. His recent remarks at Idaho County’s Lincoln Day Dinner were met with enthusiasm, as he highlighted his victories and commitment to preserving individual liberty. Raúl exemplifies the leadership and resolve that Idaho Republicans expect and deserve.
Congressman Russ Fulcher has also been connecting with Republican communities during these celebrations, bringing firsthand accounts of his work in Washington, D.C., on behalf of Idaho’s values. Russ shared stories of his unwavering fight for our conservative principles and faith in delivering results for all Idahoans.
Our Senator, Jim Risch, has made several appearances where he’s spoken about his and Idahoans objections to the proposed Lava Ridge windmill project. This project opposition highlights his commitment to preserving Idaho’s state sovereignty and rural heritage. A proven conservative leader, Senator Risch has also played a critical role in advancing America First policies, including the confirmation of constitutionally driven cabinet nominees under President Trump.
This year’s Lincoln Day events have also featured special guest speakers such as Sean Spicer, former White House Press Secretary in Kootenai County, and Franklin County had the honor of hosting native Idahoan and former Utah Congressman, Chris Stewart.
Looking ahead, Ada County’s Lincoln Day Dinner is shaping up to be a standout event you won’t want to miss. Mark your calendars for April 4th in Boise, where we will welcome Wyoming Congresswoman Harriet Hageman as the keynote speaker. Congresswoman Hageman is a true defender of liberty who made history by unseating Liz Cheney and has been an indomitable force against government overreach in Washington. Her courage in protecting water and property rights and her tireless fight for the principles enshrined in our Constitution will surely resonate with all who value Idaho’s conservative principles.
