We have news! We have been working like beavers on the plans for Nash Yarn Fest, and we're here today to share what's ahead.

Friday, March 14, 2025

9:00 am - 12:00 pm or 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm: Norwegian Knitting Workshop with Arne and Carlos

An opportunity for learning, laughs, and a great time spent with fellow knitters. At MDK World Headquarters, you'll be with Arne and Carlos for an exciting new class: Design Your Own Norwegian Sweater. They write:

Inspired by the way our Norwegian ancestors used to work, we teach you how to create your own special sweater, using a basic formula and small colorwork charts. We'll explain the formula and how to create the body and sleeve proportions based on your measurements and body shape.

You'll receive handouts with the complete formula, plus small charts of traditional Norwegian and Faroese designs, so you may combine patterns as you like to create your unique design. The workshop is mainly theoretical-as one cannot knit a full sweater in a class-but you will knit a swatch in class to determine the gauge and which colorwork designs you'd like for your design.

6:00 pm - 9:00 pm: Opening Night Party

Nash Yarn Fest begins at the Fairgrounds Nashville with a festive celebration. Jump right in! Includes admission, a special talk by Arne and Carlos, two beverages, and the NYF Opening Night Party swag bag. The 80and vendors will be ready to welcome you. We'll have music, food trucks, and ample room to settle in and enjoy a great night in the company of people who like to knit and crochet as much as you do. $75 and tax.

Saturday, March 15, 2025

10:00 am - 5:00 pm: Nash Yarn Fest: The Big Day

Come early, stay late. Spend time with the 80and vendors who have come from 25 states, Canada, and the UK. We'll have talks, demos, meetups all day long. Food trucks, furry visitors from local farms, the company of fellow makers. Expect all sorts of fun on the main stage-we'll have seats and tables for relaxing and visiting with each other. $25 and tax.

5:00 pm - 7:30 pm: NYF Afterparty

Want to keep going? Come to MDK World Headquarters for a casual knit/crochet hangout. Beverages, snacks, and tours of our beloved studio and warehouse. Shopping for those who simply cannot have too much yarn. We mostly don't want you to ever leave. $20 and tax.
