Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to Headline Montana Democratic Party’s Annual Fundraising Event

Helena, MT – The Montana Democratic Party announced today Minnesota Governor Tim Walz will deliver the keynote address for the Mansfield Metcalf Dinner on Saturday, March 1st, 2025.

“We are thrilled to host Governor Walz," said Montana Democratic Party Interim Executive Director Justin Ailport. “In his decades of public service, Governor Walz has never stopped fighting for working families and stays true to his roots. He’ll feel right at home among Montana Democrats.”

Tim Walz is Minnesota’s 41st Governor. He was first elected Governor in 2018 and won re-election in 2022. Accomplishments from his time as Governor include providing universal free school meals for students, protecting reproductive freedom, strengthening voting rights, laying the groundwork to get Minnesota to 100% clean electricity by 2040, cutting taxes for the middle class, and expanding paid leave for Minnesota workers. In 2024, he was the Democratic nominee for Vice President of the United States. Throughout his time in office, Tim has prioritized making Minnesota the best state in the country to raise a family. 

The Mansfield Metcalf Celebration is the Montana Democratic Party’s biggest event of the year. The event will take place in Helena at the Lewis and Clark County Fairgrounds beginning at 5:30 PM.
