“On Jan 29th night, Mike Zimmer proved Democrats can win in Iowa’s rural counties, and even in a district that Donald Trump won by 21 points,” said Iowa Democratic Party Chair Rita Hart. “Mike is a small business owner and a public school educator who understands the challenges Iowans are facing and is ready to go to work on their behalf. Mike will represent Iowans well in the state legislature and we could not be happier for the residents of this district.”
