DES MOINES - Iowa Democratic Party Chair Rita Hart issued the following statement regarding Zach Nunn’s vote to cut Medicaid and SNAP and make life more expensive for Iowans:

“Zach Nunn voted to approve a bill that adds $3.8 trillion to the national debt, lowers taxes for America’s most well-connected and well-off billionaires, and rips away health insurance and food assistance for thousands of Iowans. His vote will hurt rural hospitals that are already struggling and make life more expensive for working Iowans who are already having a hard time making ends meet. Nunn put billionaires over Iowans and his voters will remember his vote in 2026.”
