TOPEKA - While Governor Laura Kelly continues with her directive that flags throughout Kansas remain at half-staff in honor of former President Jimmy Carter’s passing, she wishes to congratulate President Trump ahead of his inauguration in Washington, D.C., as the 47th president of the United States. 

“I congratulate President Trump on his inauguration and hope for a smooth transition today," Governor Laura Kelly said. “I look forward to working with his administration and making sure the voices of Kansans are heard in Washington, D.C.”

All flags shall remain lowered until sunset on Jan. 28, 2025.
