From: South Dakota Governor Larry RhodenPIERRE, S.D. – On May 23, 2025, Governor Larry Rhoden ordered that flags be flown at half-staff from sunrise until noon, then briskly raised to full-staff until sunset statewide on Monday, May 26, 2025, in honor of Memorial Day.
“Our brave soldiers are the backbone that holds our nation together, and their sacrifices will never be forgotten,” said Governor Larry Rhoden. “This Memorial Day and every day, we honor those that paid the ultimate sacrifice to keep our nation strong, safe, and free.”
