RE:  Flags at Half-Staff in Honor of City Commissioner Manolo Reyes

On Friday, April 11, 2025, City Commissioner Manolo Reyes passed away at the age of 80. Commissioner Reyes was a devoted public servant who spent his career committed to bettering the lives of the people in his community. He was a teacher at Westland Hialeah Senior High School, the Principal Budget Analyst for Miami-Dade County Public Schools, and he served as Miami City Commissioner for District Four since 2017. Commissioner Reyes is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, his two children, and three grandchildren.

To honor the memory of Commissioner Manolo Reyes and his service to our state, I hereby direct the flags of the United States and the State of Florida to be flown at half-staff at all local and state buildings, installations, and grounds throughout Miami-Dade County from sunrise to sunset on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.
