“Pony Up! Cowgirls of Chandler” is now open at Chandler Museum and runs through Nov. 2. This engaging exhibition celebrates the women and girls who shaped Chandler’s identity as a modern Western town.

The exhibition showcases a rich collection of artifacts, photographs and personal stories, spotlighting women’s roles on ranches, in rodeos and along the desert trails of Chandler’s past.

Set in the Price Gallery, “Pony Up!” invites visitors into an intimate experience of Chandler’s early days through some of the community’s earliest photographs and memories of its pioneering residents.

“We’re thrilled to share more of Chandler’s early history and to honor women like Martha Knox and Ruth Pew, whose contributions were vital to the town’s cultural and economic development,” says Jody Crago, Chandler Museum Director. “The stories in this exhibition are powerful and we’re proud to bring them to light.”
