SATURDAY, JULY 29, 2023
8:00am: 4-H Dog Show; Exhibit Building
Small Fry Dog Class, Exhibit Building (this will precede the 4-H Dog Showmanship class)
10:00am: Mountain States Highland Cattle Show, Horse Pavilion
Noon Ranch Rodeo, Main Arena (open to the public, no charge)
3:30pm: Kiddie Style Show, Fellowship Hall (arrive at 3:30, show will start right before the 4-H Revue)
4:00pm: Cutting Horse Exposition, Main Arena
4:00pm: 4-H Fashion Revue and Judging, Fellowship Hall
8:00pm: Kickoff Dance/Concert featuring Brett Hendrix, Horse Pavilion
(open to the public, no charge)

SUNDAY, JULY 30, 2023
BREEDING SHOWCASE DAY
7:00am: 4-H Rocketry Fly Day; Far East Fairgrounds pasture
8:00am: 4-H Horse Showmanship, Halter, Performance, and Trail Classes in both arenas all day
Small Fry Pony Class
8:00am: Check-in begins for 4-H Breeding Beef, Beef Barn
10:00am: 4-H Swine Breeding Show, Open Pavilion
11:00am: 4-H Sheep Breeding Show, Open Pavilion
Noon 4-H Breeding Goat Show (this includes meat does, dairy does) Open Pavilion
2:00pm: 4-H Breeding Beef Show, Horse Pavilion
5:00pm: Utility Goat Show, Open Pavilion

MONDAY, JULY 31, 2023
5:00pm: 4-H Gymkhana, Main Arena

TUESDAY, AUGUST 1, 2023
Noon: Livestock Exhibitors Meeting, Grandstands
5:00pm: 4-H Goat Showmanship followed by 4-H Market Goat Show, Open Pavilion
7:00pm: 4-H Market Lamb Showmanship followed by 4-H Market Lamb Show, Open Pavilion
Small Fry Goat Class and Small Fry Lamb Class, Open Pavilion (these will precede the 4-H Showmanship classes for each species)

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 2, 2023
8:00am-11:30am: Check-in and entry for Open Class Exhibits, Ag Building
5:00pm: 4-H Market Swine Show, Open Pavilion

THURSDAY, AUGUST 3, 2023
8:00am: 4-H Rabbit Show, Exhibit Building
9:00am: 4-H Poultry Showmanship
Small Fry Poultry Class, Poultry Barn (small fry poultry will precede the 4-H Poultry Showmanship)
8:00am - 6:00pm: 4- H and Open Class General Exhibits open for viewing, Ag Building
Master Gardeners’ Education and Silent Auction, Ag Building Meeting Room
9:30am: Master Gardeners’ Education Presentation “Weeds”, Ag Building Meeting Room
10:30am: Senior Citizens’/Veterans’ Events, Fellowship Hall
3:00pm: 4-H Dairy Cattle Showmanship followed by 4-H Dairy Cattle Show, Horse Pavilion
4:00pm: 4-H Market Beef Showmanship followed by 4-H Market Beef Show, Horse Pavilion
Small Fry Beef (Bucket Calf Class) Horse Pavilion (this class will precede the 4-H Beef Showmanship)
5:00pm: Open Gymkhana, Main Arena (sponsored by Elbert County Royalty Program)

8:00am - 10:00am: Save the Cowboy Pancake Breakfast, behind Main Arena grandstands – Free but donations taken.
8:00am: 4-H Poultry Show
8:00am: 4-H Hog Showmanship, Open Pavilion
Small Fry Hog Class, Open Pavilion (this will precede the Showmanship class for 4-H Hogs)
8:00am - 6:00pm: 4- H and Open Class General Exhibits open for viewing, Ag Building
Master Gardeners’ Education and Silent Auction, Ag Building Meeting Room
9:00am - 8:00pm: The Mercantile Open, Exhibit Building
9:30am: Master Gardeners’ Education Presentation ”Native Plants”, Ag Building Meeting Room
4:00pm: Round Robin Showmanship Contest, Warm Up Arena
5:00pm: 4-H Beef Fitting Contest, Track Area
6:00pm: Pet Animal Contest, Open to All Ages, Not required to be in 4-H, Horse Pavilion
7:00pm: Horseshoe Tournament, Main Arena (registration begins on-site at 6:00 PM)
8:30pm: - 11:30pm: Youth Fair Dance, Fellowship Hall parking lot – $5 per person. This dance is open to anyone.

9:00am: Road Grader Rodeo, Warm-Up Arena
9:00am - 8:00pm: The Mercantile Open, Exhibit Building
9:30am: Master Gardner’s Special Presentation “Special Bees/Pollinators”, Ag Building
11:00am: EDCLA Barbecue, Horse Pavilion, $10 charge
11:00 AM-1:00pm: Want to buy at the Junior Market Sale? Get your bidder number and information near sale
11:00am - 2:00pm: Touch a Truck for Kids, East of Warm-Up Arena
10:00 – 8:00 PM: Kiddie Corral Open featuring Small Rides, Petting Zoo, Bouncy House, Giant Slide, Trackless Train, Face Painting - FREE of charge. Carnival Area
12:00 Noon Crowing Contest, Poultry Barb
1:00pm: Junior Market Sale, Horse Pavilion
4:00pm: Master Graders’ Silent Auction Closes- pick up and pay in Ag Building
5:00pm: Horse Pull, Warm-up Arena
5:00pm: Mini Bull Riding, Main Arena (open entry for kids age 3-17)
6:00pm: 4-H Awards Night, Horse Pavilion
7:00pm: Bulls, Broncs & Buckaroos Rodeo, Main Arena (Free of Charge)
(Mutton Busters must pre-register and fill out waiver at elbertcountyfair.com; limited number of walk-up slots available if someone who is pre-registered doesn’t show up.) Mutton busters must be between the ages of 4-7, must be 70 lbs or less and must have on proper attire to ride. Vest and helmet provided.
9:00pm: Concert- Matt Stell, Main Arena after conclusion of Rodeo (Free of Charge)

9:00am - 4:00pm: The Mercantile Open, Exhibit Building
10:00am: Garden Tractor Pull, Warm Up Arena
11:00am: High Plains Fiddle Fest, Open Pavilion
11:00am: Parade (Parade begins downtown at the Courthouse, ends in Main Arena)
12:00 Noon – 3:00 PM: Kiddie Corral Open featuring Small Rides, Bouncy House, Giant Slide, Trackless Train - FREE of charge. Carnival Area
12:00 Noon Queen’s Barrel Race and Royalty Presentation (following end of parade) Arena
12:30PM Mutton Bustin’, Kid’s Races and Egg Toss, Main Arena
(Mutton Busters must pre-register and fill out waiver at elbertcountyfair.com; limited number of walkup slots available if someone who is pre-registered doesn’t show up.)
