Oklahoma Democratic Party Announces Partnership with Contest Every Race to Strengthen Democratic Organizing Statewide

Oklahoma City, OK – The Oklahoma Democratic Party (ODP) is excited to announce its partnership with Contest Every Race (CER) as part of a strategic initiative to ensure that Democrats in every corner of Oklahoma have candidates to support and mobilize around. As part of this collaboration, ODP is encouraging county parties to take advantage of CER’s Grant Program, which provides crucial funding, training, and operational support to local Democratic organizations in non-urban communities.

Grant Program Details: Local Democratic parties in non-urban communities are eligible to apply for the CER Grant Program, which offers up to $200 per month in funding, distributed quarterly, upon successful completion of monthly goals. Applications are due by April 7th. Interested parties can apply by clicking [here].

Key Benefits for Participants:

  • Up to $2,400 per year in grants
  • Monthly virtual training sessions
  • Dedicated operational and staff support
  • Free texting services to engage local Democrats
  • Access to expert briefings and training sessions
  • A nationwide network of organizers and activists

To help county parties learn more about this opportunity, CER will host multiple informational Zoom sessions throughout March. These sessions will provide an overview of the program, answer questions, and offer insights into how local Democratic organizations can maximize the available resources.

About Contest Every Race: Since 2021, CER has supported over 300 grant teams across 29 states, providing essential funding and resources to strengthen Democratic organizing at the grassroots level. In 2024 alone, the program granted $1.2 million to local Democratic efforts, facilitated the sending of 13 million texts, and supported teams that knocked on 1.4 million doors. By investing in local leadership and voter mobilization, CER is building a resilient Democratic presence in rural America.
