City Council to meet on Feb. 6

Mesquite City Council meets Monday, Feb. 6, at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 757 N. Galloway Ave. Members of the public, applicants and interested parties may attend the meeting in person. Face coverings are optional for attendees, but the city will continue to implement social distancing measures with limited seating. Members of the public desiring to comment during Citizens Forum must preregister as follows: Send an email or call the City Secretary on or before 3 p.m. on Feb. 6 at [email protected] or 972-216-6244. Provide the City Secretary with your name and address. Comments on agenda items may be made during the meeting or by submission on or before 3 p.m. on Feb. 6 to the following email address: [email protected]. View meeting agendas online. The City broadcasts meetings via Facebook Live and at www.cityofmesquite.com/WatchCouncilMeetings.

You're Invited to the the State of the Community event

The State of the Community event will be on Feb. 16 at 5:30 p.m. at the Mesquite Arts Center.  The mayor, MISD superintendent, Eastfield president and city manager will have panel discussions to celebrate our community wins and innovations and recognize areas for improvement. Poteet High School's Show Choir, Variety, will kick off the festivities. The event will conclude with an unveiling of Economic Development’s strategic plan. Join us for this special event.

City launches new website

The City of Mesquite launched a new website this week with several new features. The new site is more ADA compliant, has better navigation, updated design to help users find the right content, and has a new calendar update with better search. You can view it at www.cityofmesquite.com.
