Still Rising: Concert Preview
Preview our upcoming concert, Still Rising, in this short video by our artistic director Peter Steenblik. He discusses the program and plays some musical excerpts, as well as a snippet of an interview with the composer of the Suffrage Cantata, the concert centerpiece. You can buy your tickets for an evening performance (Friday, March 28 at 7:30 pm) or a matinee (Saturday, March 29 at 2:00 pm) here: https://tinyurl.com/25bsc75p . We'll perform in the University of West Florida Center for Fine and Performing Arts.
UWF Singers Join Us for Still Rising
The UWF Singers will be featured in three works on our upcoming concert. The entire group will sing "Old Grandma," a Canadian folk song arranged by Alice Parker; the tenors and basses will perform "When the Time Comes," a setting by Melissa Dunphy of a text by Ruth Bader Ginsburg; and the sopranos and altos will join our sopranos and altos in the Suffrage Cantata.
If you've heard any of the UWF Singers concerts on the University of West Florida campus, you know what a phenomenal group they are. if you haven't, come get acquainted with them on our upcoming concert, and you'll become an instant fan.
Requesting Accommodations
To request accommodation to attend or participate in any of our activities, email Charlie Smoke at least 72 hours in advance. If you face mobility challenges, we encourage you to arrive at least twenty minutes before our performances begin to ensure you're seated comfortably in the auditorium when Peter gives the downbeat. We're happy to help you find your place.
