The Artosphere Festival celebrates art, music and nature with exciting performances, activities and events that the whole family can enjoy. Each year, Artosphere spotlights artists and performers from around the world who are inspired by nature, and provides a creative framework for the community to discuss issues of sustainability and environmental awareness.

Sunday, April 27, 2025

noon-4pm: Sundays on the Square

This free, family-friendly event includes a diverse lineup of live music, artist demonstrations and installations, food trucks, group bike rides and an arts market featuring makers and creators in a variety of media. Sundays on the Square is presented by Experience Fayetteville and organized by Downtown Fayetteville Coalition.

May 2 - 4, 2025

Community Creative Center Pottery Festival

This annual Community Creative Center (CCC) event highlights local and regional artists over three days. An exhibition and pottery sale includes work from numerous potters and is available throughout the event in the main gallery at CCC. Special guests are brought in for lectures and pottery demonstrations, and the festival will conclude with the Post-Pottery Party on May 3 from 6-8pm at Kingfish.

9am-2pm: Square 2 Square Bicycle Ride

The Square 2 Square Bike Ride is celebrating 10 years in 2025! This increasingly popular collaborative event between Fayetteville and Bentonville parks and recreation takes place each spring and fall. Enjoy nature-themed activities on the Upper Ramble while the riders cross the finish line, including entertainment by Inspyral Circus and a recycled craft led by local artist Shannon Green.

The Square 2 Square Bike Ride is not a race, but an easygoing event that’s designed for all ages and abilities. The intention of the S2S Ride, the “Official Ride of the Razorback Greenway,” is to provide an event for folks who are new to riding bikes while promoting safe riding and showcasing the Razorback Greenway.

Departing the Sam’s Club Home Office and finishing at the Upper Ramble in Fayetteville, the in-person ride will roll along the Razorback Greenway for 30 miles. For riders, it’s a fun opportunity to get outside while celebrating Northwest Arkansas’ downtown squares and enjoying the unique cycling amenities of the area that make the region such a fantastic place to live, work, visit and play!

4pm: Cocktails in the Garden

Inspired by local herbal and botanical ingredients, you will learn how to make two nature-themed cocktails while enjoying light snacks. This class is part of the Artosphere Arts + Nature Festival and will take place outdoors in the beautiful Bradberry Rose Garden.

Must be 21 or older to participate.

7pm: Railyard Live: Cate Brothers and Nace Brothers

Sponsored by Artosphere, the Nace Brothers and the Cate Brothers bring their unique brand of music to Butterfield Stage.

6pm: Yoga on the Glade

Enjoy yoga and live music in the fresh air of the Fayetteville Library's J.B. and Johnelle Hunt Family Gathering Glade. Move, stretch and breathe with a free yoga class accompanied by live cellist, Pecos Singer. Instructors, Lori Brownmiller, Alexzandrea Hollinshed, Jes Summersett, Jill Dickerson, and Brandy Molloy will be leading the session, which will be suitable for all levels of yoga practitioners.

Born and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Pecos Singer was the winner of the 2016 Baroque Concerto Competition at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, a finalist in the Coeur d'Alene National Young Artist Competition, and previous recipient of the Carlsen Cello Foundation. He is currently principal cello of the Arkansas Philharmonic and teaches cello and chamber music at the University of Arkansas.

6:30pm: Trout Fishing in America

Trout Fishing in America’s Keith Grimwood and Ezra Idlet have been friends and songwriting partners for 49 years. This nationally touring duo has traveled over a million miles and performed in all 50 states, parts of Canada and Europe. They writes music for people who take their fun seriously, and their dynamic sound, relatable lyrics and unique stage presence offer something for everyone. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and join us for a free family-friendly concert on BGO’s Great Lawn.

6pm: Chapel Concert: SoNA Beyond at Hunt Chapel

The human voice is the organ of the soul. The SoNA Singers will perform a variety of music that will speak to your heart in beautiful harmony … from popular songs by Bob Dylan, Dolly Parton, Simon and Garfunkel, to classical art songs and Gospel spirituals. Under the direction of Terry Hicks, and set in the beloved architectural marvel Hunt Chapel as the backdrop for an evening of music, this concert is not to be missed.

This performance is a presented in partnership with SoNA, Hunt Chapel and the Artosphere Arts + Nature Festival.

5-7pm: Trail Mix

Artosphere’s signature event features live art, music and activities for kids and families! The Upper and Lower Ramble are the home of Trail Mix this year, exploring the convergence of art and nature in the forest canopy and pathways through Tanglewood Creek, Fay Jones Woods and the newly constructed public space, Upper Ramble.

Trail Mix is a free event that features Backyard Bugs, Sarah Reed and Michael Hannah woodwind duo, Fayetteville High School Steel Pan Band, Dandelion Heart, University of Arkansas World Music Ensemble, energetic musical group Squonk and entertainers from Inspyral Circus.

ORA drinks are welcome in the Upper Ramble, Lower Ramble, and trail.
In case of inclement weather, this event will move into the Fayetteville Public Library.

8pm: Nimbus Dance

Nimbus Dance bridges the gap between world-class performances and community engagement by presenting work that challenges while also speaking to and elevating the core beliefs of its diverse audience. Young Yeila dreams of being a superstar, but her lack of confidence gives her awful stage fright. With advice from her mother and mentors, Yeila begins to find her Cuban roots and build confidence. In this dynamic, multi-cultural show, the audience gets to dance along as one actress portrays three generations of lively women and infuses a salsa-style flair into hip-hop. Written, choreographed and performed by Paige Hernandez.

Polyglot Theatre’s Bees

Explore a buzzing, humming hive of activity as human-sized bees busy themselves in the community creation alongside children who can transform into bees as they play. Inspired by the mysterious life and work of bees, this re-imagining of public space involves the slow uncovering of an intricate unseen world. Bees will be on the J.B. and Johnelle Hunt Family Gathering Glade at 9:30am and 11am on Wednesday, May 14; at 4pm on Thursday, May 15 and 2pm on Friday, May 16.

Polyglot Theatre is working in partnership with Inlet Dance Theatre to deliver this season. Polyglot is assisted by the Australian Government through Creative Australia, its principal arts funding and advisory body, and the Victorian Government through Creative Victoria.

6pm: Jazz on the Mountain

The Eli Dranow Trio will provide a fresh and engaging musical experience at Mt. Sequoyah’s Vesper Point. Featuring Eli Dranow on keyboards, Marco “Catfish” Wimer on bass, and Dillon Brouse on drums, the trio’s music covers a range of jazz styles, cool and refined at times, bombastic and fiery at others. The local musicians weave their way through varied arrangements like classic jazz ballads, The Beatles, Debussy and original compositions.

Restorative Mindfulness Woodwind Quartet & Bird Watching

With both bird watching and live music, this one-of-a-kind event emphasizes meaningful observation and mindfulness. NWA Land Trust will lead guided bird watching, providing binoculars to the first 40 people who register. The Sarah Reed Woodwind Quartet will play a brief concert inspired by birds to connect arts and nature.

Featuring Polyglot Theatre’s Bees

Join us for a day of outdoor exploration and free family fun in Springdale's new Luther George Park. Activities include live face painting, two performances from the musical variety duo mömandpöp and interactive activations at 11am and 1:30pm of Polyglot Theatre's Bees, humming human-sized bees that uncover the intricate and mysterious work of bees.

8pm: Dover Quartet with Edgar Meyer

Inspired by and presented as part of our annual Artosphere Festival, the returning favorite Grammy®-nominated Dover Quartet will present an evening of exquisite chamber music. Named one of the greatest string quartets of this century by the BBC, the ensemble will perform alongside the Grammy®-nominated American composer and bassist Edgar Meyer. In demand as both a performer and a composer, Meyer has formed a role in the music world unlike any other. Hailed by The New Yorker as “the most remarkable virtuoso in the relatively un-chronicled history of his instrument,” his unparalleled technique and musicianship, in combination with his gift for composition, have brought him to the fore, where he is appreciated by a vast, varied audience.

Folk School of Fayetteville: Music on the Lawn

The Folk School of Fayetteville is hosting two days of musical fun on the front lawn of their historic building. On Saturday, May 17, browse a selection of instruments, gear, books and more from 9am-4pm during the lawn sale, and enjoy a teacher and student showcase starting at 1pm. As part of the annual Strawberry Festival, Six Hours of Pickin' and Grinnin' returns on Sunday, May 18 from 2-8pm; bring an instrument and jam along.
