We respond to over 175 disasters every day

Help us end every story of disaster with hope.

Goal: $175,000 | Deadline: Midnight

GIVE HOPE

James,

Bill Nelms was used to being the person that helped others - not someone who needed help. But when Hurricane Helene made landfall last year, Bill found himself in his apartment - water up to his neck - rushing to grab what he could and make his escape.

With nowhere to go, he wandered the chaotic streets for three days. But when a police officer pointed him to an American Red Cross shelter, he found more than a place to stay; he found kindness, understanding and the hope to reclaim his life.

Help people like Bill get the support they need in their darkest moments.

GIVE HOPE

Every day, the Red Cross responds to over 175 disasters. That’s over 175 stories of loss. Of hope. Of compassion. Of overcoming the odds to find strength, rebuild and recover.

We’ll always be there to provide families with the lifesaving relief and the support they need at their darkest moments. But today, we respond to nearly twice as many major disasters as we did just 10 years ago.

And in order to meet this need, we’re counting on your generous support. That’s why we set an ambitious goal to raise $175,000 by midnight tonight to help us respond to disasters big and small, whenever and wherever they occur across the country. So please: Will you give now to help us reach our goal and deliver lifesaving relief to families who’ve lost everything to hurricanes, floods, home fires and other disasters?
