Sunday, Mar 30, 2025 from 5:30pm to 8:30pm
Welcome to the Videoland Film Collective: a queer film series at the Historic Masonic Temple, and a celebration of physical media and film itself! Join us at 5:30pm with your VHS tapes, DVDs, Laserdiscs, and other physical media in tow, and swap with other likeminded movie heads! Then join us at 6:30 for our feature presentation.
This month's selection is 2016's Moonlight, a multiple award-winning film (including the Academy Award for Best Picture) that explores the intersections of queerness, Blackness, masculinity, and community through three different stages of a young man's life growing up in Miami. Based on Tarell Alvin McCraney's play In Moonlight Black Boys Look Blue. Rated R.
Tickets are $5 to see the film (but the movie swap is free to enter).
