We invite you to bring your family and celebrate Independence Day in Urbandale. The Urbandale 4th of July celebration is the largest celebration in the Des Moines metro area. This event is held at Lion’s Park in the heart of Urbandale. This long standing tradition includes a 2 mile long parade, a premier carnival, entertainment garden, live music as well as a variety of other activities. The annual community event is organized by a group of volunteers and is primarily self funded with help from local business sponsors and fundraising.

4:00 PM: Vendors, Midway, and Carnival Opens at Lions Park

4:00-7:00 PM: DJ: "Dreams Unlimited" at Gazebo

4:00-9:00 PM: Lions Bingo Tent

5:00-11:00 PM: Beverage Garden

7:00-10:00 PM: LIVE Band: Kick

11:00 PM: Midway and Carnival Closes
