The Texas Crab Festival is a one-of-a-kind celebration of coastal culture, delicious seafood, and family-friendly fun! Since its humble beginnings in 1985, when a group of local business leaders sought to boost tourism in Crystal Beach, the festival has grown into a beloved annual tradition, attracting thousands of visitors each Mother’s Day weekend.

Now Celebrating its 40th year, the Texas Crab Festival has been recognized as one of USA Today’s “10 Best Festivals to Dive Into” and featured on Food Network’s Eating America with Anthony Anderson.

6:00 p.m: Opening Ceremony
Join us for a patriotic Opening Ceremony, featuring a flag-raising and the stirring sounds of the national anthem, as we kick off the festival in honor of our community and country!

8:15 p.m: Texas 2-Step Dance Contest
Boots or no Boots scoot your way around the dance floor! Contest will be two dances – one upbeat and one slow. No entry fee and the Best Dancers win Cash Prizes.

7:00 p.m: Horseshoe Tournament-Friday
An event that promises not just competition but a whole lot of fun. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or a first-time flinger, this tournament is the perfect opportunity to showcase your skills.

All Weekend:

Crab Races
A highlight of the festival, drawing in visitors eager to partake in this unique tradition. Cheer for your favorite speedy crabs as they scuttle across the track.
