This run takes place on a scenic point-to-point course during the early summer in the back woods of the Gulf Coast. It starts on the historic Camp James E. Rudder, the home of the 6th Ranger Training Battalion and the Swamp Phase of the Army's premier leadership course, Ranger School. The route itself take you down the "Rudder Mile" which Ranger Instructors have run for decades. Once you cross under the "Rudder Mile" banner overhead, you will be running down sand trails through training areas where Ranger students have patrolled in pursuit of the coveted Ranger Tab, past Prisoner's Pond, and finally ending back on camp
