The 52 Year Sportsman's Tradition Continues!

JUMP! The Ultimate Dog Show

Watch a non-stop, action packed canine thrill show that showcases amazing dogs and their handlers! See an exciting head-to-head competition that will showcase a number of energetic sporting elements such as Speed Agility, Weave Pole Racing, Trick Frisbee, Dock Diving and plenty of novel pet tricks. Most of the performing dogs have been rescued from various shelters throughout the country. Fun for all ages, this show is a must-see while you’re at Outdoorama!

Big Buck Night
Thursday at 6pm

Presented by Michigan Out of Doors TV Show

This is a long time tradition. Celebrity hosts Jimmy Gretzinger and Jenny Ciolek will interview the lucky Michigan hunters who bagged some of the largest whitetail deer of the season. Special consideration is given to lucky hunters who have amazing stories about their kill. This one night show will be filmed for airing on the upcoming television program and is a must-see for every Michigan deer hunter!

Commemorative Bucks of Michigan

Commemorative Bucks of Michigan will be at the Show to score your deer, turkey, bear and elk. They will have Boone and Crockett / Pope and Young measurers to assist you. Bring your trophies and have them scored for FREE while you enjoy the Show. You can also display your trophies for the duration of the Show for all to see on the Buck Boards!

CBM Buck Boards

Back again at Outdoorama, attendees that bring their trophy deer, turkey, or bear to the Show and have it scored for free by the Commemorative Bucks of Michigan will have the option of putting it on display for the duration of the Show for all to see on the Buck Boards. Fees will be charged by CBM for entry into the actual record books.

Trout Pond

Operated by Michigan B.A.S.S. as a fundraiser, you and your kids are invited to come and try your hand at one of the State’s best indoor ponds for live rainbow trout. Even if you come just to watch, you will see the highest catch percentage of any trout pond you have ever seen.

Deer Processing Demo
Presented by Country Smoke House

Steve Francis, owner of Country Smoke House in Almont, MI will demonstrate how to field dress, handle, butcher and process your next Whitetail deer. Country Smoke House processes thousands of deer each year. Steve is an expert in his field and will show you tricks of the trade and lessons learned over decades of hard work in the butchering industry. He starts with a fresh deer and walks through every step of the process from dressing and skinning to butchering and packaging. This is a must-see for every deer hunter and venison lover!

Fly Tyers Corner

Come watch some of the top fly tyers in Michigan as they set up and demonstrate their favorite patterns or make a request. This is a constant workshop for anglers that share an interest in this artful pastime. It is presented by local experts and guides from the Michigan Fly Fishing Club.

Antique & Classic Fishing Tackle

Terry McBurney, award winning Woods-n-Water News writer, and Tony Przybylo, Michigan lure collector, will be on-hand all four days of the show exhibiting some of their “Made in Michigan” tackle collection – lures, reels, rods and accessories. Both are members of the NFLCC (National Fishing Lure Collectors Club.) They will be answering questions and offering FREE appraisals. Outdoorama visitors are invited to bring in their old fishing tackle tucked away in the barn, basement or garage. They are also interested in buying vintage tackle for their collections. There might be some valuable surprises in that old tackle box!

Howell Nature Center

See the live animal display from the Howell Nature Center at the show! They will have fun activities for kids while learning about what the Nature Center does for our wildlife in Michigan.

Sportsmen’s Hog Roast

A large dining area has been designated as the site of the annual Sportsmen’s Grill food court. After rave reviews last winter, the area has acquired “ultimate” status with and expanded menu and a large bar area popular with sportsmen.

Pellet Shooting Range

A Pellet Shooting Range will thrill plinkers and shooters of all ages. This popular feature is destined to be a big hit. Certified instructors are on-hand to teach accuracy and safety to shooters of all ages.
