Join us in ringing in the Year of the Snake on Saturday, February 1, 2025, starting at 11am. Our Lunar New Year festivities will kick off with a martial arts demonstration, followed by a traditional Chinese lion dance by the Asian Lion Dance Team. The electrifying lion will dance its way through SALT at Our Kaka‘ako, blessing the entrances of our tenants. You can participate by feeding the lions red envelopes, known as lai see (lucky money), believed to bring prosperity to the giver throughout the year. Between 11am – 12pm, there will also be appearances by the 2025 Miss Chinatown Hawaii Queen (Jacelyn Ho), 2024 Miss Chinatown Hawaii Queen (Sara Liu), the 2024 1st Princess (Connie Huang), and 2024 Princess (Ellie Feng).
