Trumpeter, composer, and 2011 NEA Jazz Master Wynton Marsalis performs his live score to accompany a screening of director Dan Pritzker's 2010 film Louis** that plays homage to Louis Armstrong. Joined by classical pianist Cecile Licad and an all-star 11-piece jazz ensemble, this immersive multimedia experience is sure to be spectacular.

This unique event features a silent film about Louis Armstrong, a pivotal figure in jazz history, brought to life with a live score composed and performed by the renowned jazz musician Wynton Marsalis and a 11-piece jazz ensemble.

Directed by Dan Pritzker and shot beautifully by Academy Award-winning cinematographer Vilmos Zsigmond, Louis (originally released in 2010) is an homage to Louis Armstrong and celebrates the deep musical heritage of New Orleans.
