Currie Wayne Clayton Jr.
Currie Wayne is from Haw River, NC. He comes from a very musical family. His father, Currie Sr., was an accomplished guitarist, whose idol was the great Chet Atkins. His father’s influence can be heard in Currie Jr.’s talent. As a multi-instrumentalist, Currie Wayne enjoys writing songs inspired by his love of family; especially his son. He plays a multitude of instruments (guitar, drums, bass, keyboard, and fiddle) and records/produces all of his own creations. His middle school music teacher was extremely influential in inspiring him to perform. He won the 6th grade talent show and never looked back as a performer. Band mates pushed him to enter the Delmarva Guitar Challenge in Ocean City, MD and he took home the top honor. Currie Wayne has opened for many national acts through the years spanning many musical genres from "Great White", "Mitch Mitchell" from the Jimmi Hendrix experience, "Slaughter", "Brittany Fox", "Bellamy Brothers", and "David Allen Coe" to mention a few.
Currie Wayne also auditioned for the legendary southern rock band, Molly Hatchet in 1999.
