The Exchange Club Kite Showcase & Contest

Open to all ages, all kinds of kites, and free to enter, the annual kite contest and showcase is the ABC Kite Fest’s oldest and greatest tradition. Read on to learn how to enter. Registration opens at 11:00 AM at the Contest Field. The contest and showcase begins at 1:00 PM.

The Kids Club is a day-long activity center for children of all ages where they can enjoy bounce houses, activities, games, and more! (Face painting available for an additional fee)

John “Moss” Pieratt, Jr.’s love for music and people were the defining qualities that drove the Pieratt and Jenkins families to stage a concert to honor Moss’s joyful life. Starting at 10:00 AM this year, MossFest, presented by PNC Bank, returns live to the ABC Kite Fest at Zilker Park.

This year’s Pet Zone features an off-leash pet playground pop-up that offers fun activities (and a little exercise) for your furry friends—including a three-ring jump and tunnel run. Rock climbing walls are also available for (human) recreation.
