Dr. John Summers is a native of Oklahoma. He was born and raised in the Tulsa area where he attended and graduated from the University of Tulsa. He then attended the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine where he was awarded numerous academic awards including top academic scholar of his class. He graduated ranked first in his class.
Dr. Summers then completed a three year residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Oklahoma. He then completed a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas where he served as chief fellow.
Dr. Summers then completed a sub-specialty fellowship in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California.
Dr. Summers runs the atrial fibrillation ablation program at St. Anthony Hospital and helped launch the hybrid surgical epicardial-endocardial AF ablation program (Convergent Procedure).
Dr. Summers is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
