Dr. Erin Hayes is a board-certified psychiatrist and clinical assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Medical University of South Carolina. She received her medical degree from the University of Oklahoma-Tulsa School of Community Medicine. Dr. Hayes completed her internship in psychiatry at Georgetown University, and both her psychiatry residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Virginia Tech-Carilion Clinic. As a medical student she was recognized through peer-nomination to the Gold Humanism Honor Society. Dr. Hayes has various clinical interests including adult and child psychiatry, college mental health, telepsychiatry, psychotherapy, and caring for patients with gender dysphoria and LGBTQ+ patients.
