Andrea P. Stress, DNP, APRN, AGNP-C is an adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner at MUSC University Internal Medicine Rutledge Tower. A native of Philadelphia, PA, Andrea earned her Bachelor of Science degree from The College of New Jersey in 2011. She worked as a nurse in the inpatient and outpatient settings (medical-surgical, telemetry, neurosurgical critical care, and clinical research) for 10 years before becoming a nurse practitioner. Andrea graduated from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2021 with her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree. She is board-certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Caring for the elderly is Andrea’s passion. She enjoys managing the many medical complexities faced by the geriatric population and working with families and caregivers to optimize each older adult’s quality of life.
