Description:
Join us for the 5th Annual Buffalo Stampede in the Brazos Valley, an event designed for serious runners! These are ChronoTrack System timed races with disposable bib tags on USATF Certified courses benefitting the Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History. All Sports Timing is conducting the race and race results will be available at www.allsportstiming.com. The Half-Marathon course is gently rolling, scenic, relatively flat, fast, and takes you through open country and past neighborhoods and parks. It has a downhill 2-mile finish, and offers you a great chance for a PR and a tune-up for marathons. The 5K follows the first 1.55 miles of the Half-Marathon course. Courses are out and back and offer a safe route well marked by N-Line Traffic Management. These are beautiful courses, well organized safe runs with water stops, porta johns, great running music provided by Stevo DJ, cool T-shirts for all, unique buffalo age group awards, and post-race refreshments. Meet our celebrity starter and look for our Bison mascot! AFTER the race, enjoy Boonville Days, a living history fair of frontier skills, arts, and music and an authentic Chuck Wagon Cook-Off! Festive Boonville Days activities from 9-4 are inside and outside the Museum and free to runners.
