About Us:

Westside Community Church is a part of a group of churches known as the Church of God with National offices in Anderson, Indiana.  Our state office is located right here in the Orlando area.  Though we are affiliated with this group, each congregation is autonomous in nature and selects leadership policies and structures within the local congregation.  Westside's governing body consists of both paid and no-paid staff members.  

History:

Westside Community Church began as a church plant out of First Church of God in East Orlando.  We began in 1987 as a group of about thirty believers who stepped out in faith to follow the prompting of God.    Here we are, 28 years later, continuing the mission of reaching people and growing in God's word.  

Since the start of WCC, we have had three Lead Pastors.  Jeff Perkins, our founding pastor, was with us until 2004 at which time, He pursued God's call to a church in Kentucky.  His leadership at Westside provided stability and vision for the early stages of the church and saw dynamic growth through the years.  After his departure, Biz Gainey continued the vision until 2010 when He followed God's call to start a church plant in Vero Beach.   In 2011, Brad Blyth became our Lead Pastor.  Pastor Brad is leading us toward the mission of Loving God, Loving People - Loving Life.
