Westford Chamber Players (WCP) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization consisting of student and professional musicians who desire to promote music education and serve local communities, uniting their skills, talents, and appreciation of classical music.
Since 2016, we have organized chamber concerts at local nursing homes, community centers, and private/public venues. For each school year, we schedule 2-3 outreach concerts and several public performances to share the talents and achievements of our student musicians.
WCP student musicians practice regularly in ensembles coached by professional musicians. In preparation for a concert program, the students are exposed to some of the greatest classical music repertoires. We look for ways to stimulate our individuality, recognizing our differences in opinions and level of achievements while seeking ways to unite and serve each and every piece of music. We believe that developing musical discipline and appreciation starts at an early age. Through the world of classical music, we can cultivate our sense of joy, heighten our emotional intelligence, and indulge in our desire for achieving excellence.
