About Us
The Washington County Arts Council is dedicated to promoting Washington County artists and performers, as well as bringing artists from other regions to our county. Our mission includes arts education, publicity of local and regional arts events, and nurturing a fertile environment for the growth of the arts within our community.
Our 15-member Board was created by the Washington County Commission in September of 2006. Board members serve four-year terms during which they chair committees made up of community members with a strong interest in the arts.
If you are interested in joining the Washington County Arts Council, getting involved with one of our committees and/or attending some of our events, please contact Amanda Broadfoot at [email protected].
Our directory of performers and artists allows us to help connect talented individuals and organizations with people and events in need of their services. Anyone can be listed for FREE in the directory, and Arts Council members receive a photo to accompany their listing.
ArtsBeat Magazine is our exclusive online publication devoted to the arts in the central Panhandle.
The Washington County Arts Council is a non-profit organization supported by patrons of the arts.
