About Us
Victor Valley College maintains a master calendar of events scheduled to take place in the Performing Arts Center, and students and the public are invited to enjoy the events at this beautiful facility. Performances are updated monthly on the events page and tickets are now available on line at VVC Tix.
The Performing Arts Center houses a proscenium theatre, known as the Main Stage, that seats 493 people and a Black Box theatre that can seat up to 120 depending on the performance configuration. Both stages have computer-controlled lighting systems and new digital sound systems. The Main Stage is ideal for performances of classical and popular music, drama, dance, lectures, and a variety of other college or community-sponsored cultural events. The Black Box houses more intimate performances put on by the Theatre Arts Department.
The Performing Arts Center also serves as a "classroom environment" for students enrolled in Theatre Arts curriculum: Stagecraft, Technical Theatre I, Beginning and Intermediate Acting, Rehearsal and Performance Studio, Stage Make up, Costuming for the Theatre, Introduction to Theatre, and other courses. The PAC houses a costume shop, make up lab, computer design lab, light shop, rehearsal lab, and construction lab dedicated to these courses.
Symphonies and other community-sponsored events such as film series, children's theatre, travel lecture programs, and workshops are open both to the community and to students at the college.
