In 1975, members of UCO’s international community were seeking a way for international students from countries around the world to share their culture with students and thus, the International Festival was established. In 2015, the festival outgrew UCO and was moved to downtown Edmond in hopes of attracting more people and international groups in the community.
Since 2015, the International Student Council (ISC) along with various cultural groups from around the community and the world came together to celebrate International Education Week by hosting the International Festival in downtown Edmond.
During the festival, many different countries and regions will showcase their cultures through display booths, live performances and authentic cuisines.
There is no cost to attend the International Festival and all are welcome to come and enjoy the cultures represented in Oklahoma.
