The West of the Pecos Rodeo is produced by the many caring volunteers of the West of the Pecos Rodeo Committee. A recognized 501(c)(3) not for profit organization; formed in the 1930's to ensure the tradition of the World's First Rodeo would live forever. So Far. So Good.

Any reputable person may be nominated to serve on the rodeo committee. Nominees are elected by a majority vote of the sitting rodeo committee.

There are no term limits for committee members.

The many members of the West of the Pecos Rodeo Committee makes the "delegation of duties" by the president somewhat easier. It takes a lot of effort to put on a show the caliber of the Rodeo... Entertainment, Concessions, Livestock, Gate Sales, Box Seat Sales, Advertising, Merchandise Sales... And the list is near endless.

There's something for everyone to do and it takes the diligence of everyone to get it done.
