Markham Park is a county owned facility and provides numerous opportunities for enjoyment. There is camping, jet-ski lake, radio controlled model airplane field, picnic facilities and most importantly a shooting range area that is open to the public. The range offers pistol, rifle and shotgun shooting. From a shotgunners standpoint there are trap and skeet fields, a challenging five stand and a 14-station sporting clays course.

The sporting clays course is laid out through the woods and during the hot summer in South Florida it is humid, but the shade is really appreciated. The course is typically only open on weekends and Thursday afternoons and it is recommended that you make an appointment in advance as it is quite often fully booked in advance. Trappers are provided by the county and will escort you around the course. Shotgun shells are available at the range, however there are no gun rentals. Our club holds monthly NSCA registered sporting clays tournaments on the course and the county resets the traps the day before the tournament so target presentations are new to everyone.
