The SIS is home to approximately 820 students in grades 7 and 8. We are located in Swiftwater, PA at our main campus. Thirty-five team teachers, sixteen special education/alternative education teachers, twenty related arts teachers, six support teachers, seventeen secretarial/support staff, three guidance counselors, and two administrators make up our staff. We follow a true middle level philosophy with teaming being the major component. Students are placed on teams of five teachers for their core curricular subjects. Our related arts curriculum offers thirty-six day cycles of computers, technology education, family consumer science, art music, health, research exploration, and physical education. We offer a variety of after school programs/athletics that are sure to draw the interest of each student. I would encourage all students to get involved in our school!
